International Oil Spill Conference
The International Oil Spill Conference contributes to and enables a culture of preparedness within the oil spill response community, the broader field of incident management, and society as a whole.
It provides a forum for professionals from the international community, the private sector, government, and non-governmental organizations to highlight and discuss innovations and best practices across the spectrum of prevention, preparedness, response and restoration. More...
Dear Attendees,The 2011 IOSC Executive and Program Committees thank all of you for helping make this conference one of the most successful to date. Our Portland gathering validated the IOSC's well-respected reputation as the premier venue for sharing the latest oil pollution research and communication. We couldn't have asked for a better mix of posters, papers, films, and speakers. Furthermore, our exhibit floor was bursting at the seams with the latest equipment and services that our response community can access. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors who supported the IOSC this year and helped to make it the success that it was. Everyone enjoyed the hospitality that the city of Portland had to offer. |

Literally hundreds of the volunteers and supporters helped to build the technical program for the IOSC. We thank all of you who volunteered to review the more than 400 abstracts submitted and the final papers and posters that were produced. The quality of these submissions is greatly enhanced by our peer reviewers. Please feel free to contact us at anytime if you would like to volunteer to support the program development for 2014. Please continue to visit this site to access additional information from the 2011 IOSC and announcements for future IOSC activities. All of the 2011 papers and posters are now available for access under the historical paper archive tab on this website. We have also made available the roster of all registered attendees and the contact information for the film submitters. As a reminder, the triennial spill conference cycle continues with Interspill in London, United Kingdom, from 13-15 March 2012 (http://www.interspill2012.com/). As for the next IOSC, we'’ll see you in Savannah, Georgia in 2014. Again, thanks for the great support. Sincerely, |
