Submitting Papers and Posters IOSC Papers - The Abstract Submission is closed and papers can no longer be accepted IOSC Poster Presentations - IOSC Poster Board Display Format The rectangular IOSC poster display boards are approximately 7.5 feet in width x 3.5 feet in height (approximately 2.29 m x 1.07 m). The poster area is elevated approximately two feet off the floor and will be composed of material that will allow pins or Velcro to be used to attach your poster. Uploading your Draft IOSC Poster on OASIS for Review Draft poster presentations are due to be uploaded on OASIS for review by Monday, March 17, 2008. Various standard software packages (e.g., PowerPoint) allow you to create graphical layouts of text, photos, and charts. Creating your presentation in slide format will allow you to easily combine text, graphics, graphs and photos. Individual slides also permit you to easily print a proof or handout of your poster on any standard office printer and print a large format version to any standard plotter. There are two ways to create your IOSC poster presentation that can be uploaded on OASIS using PowerPoint: 1. You may use a single slide, enlarged and printed on a large–format printer. 2. You may use multiple “slides” and post them in sequence on your designated poster board. *** If the file size becomes very large in PowerPoint or PDF format, you may save the file as a JPG before uploading it to OASIS for review. This will greatly reduce the file size, and allow you to upload it to OASIS more easily. Bringing your poster to IOSC All Poster Authors will be responsible for bringing their poster with them to IOSC. Posters should be set up on Monday, May 5, 2008 in the Savannah Convention Center Exhibit Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. You must present a Security pass to enter the Exhibit Hall to set up your poster. This information will be provided at a later date. The posters will be exhibited throughout the entire conference in the Exhibit Hall. The Poster Sessions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. You must bring your own push pins, Velcro, or other materials to mount your poster to the board at IOSC. These supplies will not be provided. It is recommended that you carry your poster on board the airplane with you especially if you are traveling internationally. Poster Presenters are encouraged to bring business cards to leave at there poster when they are not available in the poster area. Additional information on the Poster Session times, topics, and security passes for poster set-up will be sent to the poster presenters at a later date.
