IOSC 2011

International Oil Spill Conference -

Papers, Posters & Platform Presentation Submission Guidelines

IOSC 2011 will begin accepting papers, posters
and other presentation submissions in 2010

As an internationally recognized scientific and technical forum, the IOSC has selected thematically related papers for platform and interactive poster presentations.

Only previously unpublished papers were accepted for presentations and these papers will be published in the Proceedings. The Program Committee reserves the right to assign presentation topics as it deems appropriate. Papers and abstracts will be published in print and electronic versions of the Proceedings. In order to focus on the theme of the Conference, papers will contribute to the suggested areas shown in the following lists. However, any relevant paper was considered for acceptance by the Abstracts Subcommittee.

PLATFORM PRESENTATIONS are technical papers presented in open forum from a platform.  Presenters typically make 15-minute presentations during 90-minute sessions. Sessions will include a question and answer period from the audience.

NEW INTERACTIVE POSTER PRESENTATIONS are technical papers graphically displayed on a 4X8 foot bulletin board. Presenters will give a brief summary (5 minutes or less) during a platform session AND participate in scheduled small group poster discussion sessions. The goal of this new format is to enable broader access to authors and a better opportunity to communicate the key concepts of posters, while still providing time for detailed technical discussion later at your assigned poster session.
